In collaboration with Ride Granada, experts in premium cycling experiences across southern Spain, we invite you to an unforgettable week of gravel riding, training, and exploration in one of Europe’s most striking winter destinations.
Join us in for the ultimate winter gravel cycling experience. This breathtaking destination boasts dramatic landscapes, unique geological formations, and pristine beaches. With some of the warmest, sunniest, and driest conditions in mainland Europe in January, it’s the perfect escape from the cold and the ideal place to keep your legs turning through winter.
The Rides
Cabo de Gata Nature Park delivers some of Europe’s most spectacular gravel riding — from volcanic coastlines and cinematic desert tracks to smooth fast gravel and rugged mountain passes. Recognizable from the Badlands ultra race, it’s a dream playground for ambitious racers and adventure-minded riders alike.
We offer semi-supported riding with guides on the road and Ride Granada support on call (no follow car).
Athlete (Performance)
Train with Simen Nordahl Svendsen — 2024 Gravel Earth Series champion and 3rd at The Traka 2025 — in a race-focused program co-designed with coach Rafa Manso. Expect demanding days of 60–150 km to build strength, speed, and race-ready fitness.
Adventurer (Big Days)
Explore wild coastal roads, volcanic deserts, and mountain trails at a steady endurance pace. Long, scenic days of 40–100 km over 4–6 hours at ~20 km/h, built for big-ride satisfaction and maximum wow factor.
Solo Option
Prefer to ride on your own terms? You’re welcome too. We’ll provide curated GPS routes so you can ride independently while still enjoying the full camp experience off the bike — meals, community, and evening activities included.
Accommodation
You will be accommodated in Los Patios (The Headquarters) and Casa Biank (400m from the headquarters), two top notch villa-hotels in the heart of Cabo de Gata and a 10 minutes walk from the beach.
Food
A dedicated chef will prepare all the meals needed, breakfasts, lunches (picnics on route) and dinners. Lunch is served during the rides to make the most of the eight hours of daylight. The menu is based on Spanish cuisine, featuring fresh produce, paellas, grilled fish and meats, with vegetarian and vegan options available.
Ride fuel
Fuel for every ride is covered. Thanks to our partner FueledUp, all riders will be fully stocked with high-quality nutrition and hydration products from Precision Fuel & Hydration, the choice of leading endurance athletes. From carb drink mixes and gels to on-bike snacks and electrolytes, you’ll have everything you need to stay energized, recover well, and perform your best throughout the camp.
Fara Gr4 Bike Rental
The Fara Gr4 is built for one purpose: to go fast over the roughest terrain — and make every day adventure unforgettable. The Gr4 is a purpose-engineered gravel platform: ultra-light (970g), highly responsive, and capable of clearing up to 57mm tires for unmatched versatility and control.
For the getaway, a limited number of Gr4 rental bikes are available in sizes M (53) and L (56), equipped with:
SRAM Rival or SRAM Force groupsets
Zipp 303 XPLR wheelsets
2.1” (54mm) MTB tires for maximum grip and comfort

Discover Hotel Los Patios - Parque Natural, set in the breathtaking Cabo de Gata natural park. Enjoy spacious, comfortable rooms and indulge in local cuisine at the on-site restaurant. With close access to stunning beaches and hiking trails, plus a serene garden area, it's a perfect retreat for nature lovers.
This will be the headquaters where will gather to discuss about the trip, have dinners and chill as a group.

Enjoy a delightful short loop around the headquarters, where we will take the time to check the bikes after our travel and have our first introduction to the beautiful gravel paths of the area.
This is a perfect opportunity to soak in the surrounding scenery and prepare for our adventure. We will then finish by climbing up to the stunning Punta de la Polacra, where breathtaking views await us.
Ride along the wild sea coast, where the stunning vistas will take your breath away. There are some technical and short hike segments at the beginning of the route, but trust us, the views are absolutely worth the effort. This exciting loop starts with some challenging riding, allowing you to immerse yourself in the beautiful landscape while feeling the adrenaline rush as you conquer the terrain. Prepare for an unforgettable adventure that combines the thrill of biking with the serene beauty of nature!
The longest and toughest ride of the camp awaits you. We will embark on an incredible journey through the Tabernas Desert, the only desert in Europe, renowned for its breathtaking beauty and unique geological formations. Prepare for an unforgettable experience as we navigate through this stunning landscape, where the colors and textures of the scenery change with every turn. The vistas are unlike anything you have ever seen, creating a memorable backdrop that everyone deserves to witness and cherish.
Feel free to do a recovery ride by yourself, hike to some of the hidden coves along the coast of Cabo de Gata, or enjoy a group activity organized by us for a fun experience together.
Experience the breathtaking route where the vibrant blue of the Mediterranean Sea merges with the rugged, majestic mountains of the Sierra de Cabrera, creating a stunning landscape that captivates the senses and invites exploration. This unique geographical blend offers an incredible backdrop for adventure.
We are going to Níjar, one of the main towns of Cabo de Gata, thanks to its unique charm and its spectacular natural surroundings. This picturesque village is renowned for its whitewashed buildings, vibrant artisan shops, and breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, making it a perfect destination for those seeking both culture and natural beauty.
Afterward, we will cross the stunning Sierra Alhamilla mountain range to return to HQ from Lucainena de las Torres. This scenic route promises awe-inspiring vistas and the thrill of adventure, culminating in another challenging day filled with memorable experiences that will stay with us long after we leave.
Enjoy a stunning route along the picturesque coastline to the charming destinations of Agua Amarga and Mesa de Roldán, featuring breathtaking views of the magnificent cliffs of Cabo de Gata that rise dramatically from the sparkling blue sea. This scenic journey will captivate your senses as you traverse through the natural beauty of the area, with opportunities to stop and take in the fresh ocean air and the stunning landscape.
